Personal Trainer

Looking for an opportunity to use your passion for health and fitness at a fun, family-owned gym? Wildcat Fitness in Durham, NH is looking for a certified personal trainer who is passionate about delivering an amazing training experience! We presently have more clients than we can train. (Please be within a 15-20 minute commute)

Job requirements:

  • Nationally accredited personal training certification through the NCCA Certification (NASM, NSCA, ACE, NESTA, ACSM, ect)
  • At least 1-year of personal training/group exercise experience preferred
  • At least 1-year in a customer service/sales position preferred but not required
  • CPR/AED certification prior to hire

The ideal candidate will have:

  • The ability to design effective, strategic, customized training programs for a wide variety of clients.
  • Thorough understanding of science based progressive training programs
  • The motivation to build their client base through marketing, social media and learning how to-and-conduct fitness assessments with prospective clients
  • A hunger to always be learning and building on their education.
  • Assist in development and implementation of club programs and events.
  • Participate in all staff related meetings and other required activities.
  • Be a role model by leading by example and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
  • Strive to dress professionally, according to the current dress code standards.

  • Must be able to physically or verbally demonstrate proper usage of equipment. While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with arms and hands; and hear or talk. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Fitness Consultant

Overview of General Responsibilities:

To promote and sell personal training packages to prospective clients at the time of facilitation. Match clients to appropriate trainers for guaranteed success. Complete all related paperwork. Follow up appropriately with all trainers and clients.

Specific Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • To fully understand and explain each and every test result to the participant in technical and layman’s terms.
  • To be confident of the programs and able to sell personal training packages to prospective client if recommended for that individual
  • To be able to match prospective client to appropriate trainer depending on special needs of client and specialties of trainer.
  • Communicate the needs of the clients to the trainer in a timely manner and follow up that contact with the trainer and client.
  • Fill out appropriate paperwork, including contract, payment information, and records on day sheets and personnel sales tracking sheets.
  • Be a team player and help the entire Fitness department achieving our set goals.
  • Follow up with each client to record success of program and trainer.
  • Strive to meet all set individual and group set goals.
  • Fitness Consultant is expected to be in full uniform with name tag at all times.

Personal Qualities and Expectations:

  • To have great verbal, written communication and listening skills.
  • Organization skills, punctuality, and the ability to sell.
  • To believe in the fitness industry and our philosophy.
  • To be a team player.

Skill Qualifications:

  • Sales background
  • Education and certification in fitness related field
  • 2 years of experience in the Fitness Industry
  • Self motivation and professionalism

Additional Notes: As a professional and employee and member of Wildcat Fitness, the employee may be asked to assist in other areas of the gym. Cooperation is assumed and required. All staff members will work together to provide the superior service that Wildcat Fitness bases its reputation on.
