Closed 3-19-2020

It is with a heavy heart that I let you know Wildcat Fitness is closing for good as of today, Thursday, March 19, 2020

It is fitting that we opened in 2008 during a financial crisis, and now 12 years later, we are closing during a crisis that affects the very essence of what we stand for in terms of promoting good health.  The CDC recommendation of discouraging gatherings of 10 people or more, and yesterday’s announcement that the University community will be staying away from Durham until at least mid-May led to our decision to close as soon as possible and do our part to help flatten the curve.

Unfortunately, we have decided not to reopen, the uncertainty of this virus and economic implications many have long range effects into the fall or next year.

We have loved sharing the best part of our days with you. We have watched you strive for better health and work through life’s challenges whether recovering from an injury or illness, competing in competitions, or simply having the discipline to exercise on a regular basis. The different community events we have sponsored or donated to helped us become part of the fabric here in Durham.  You have become our friends, our family and we are incredibly grateful for the way you have embraced Wildcat Fitness as Durham’s community gym.

We will be liquidating the gym equipment.  If you are interested is any of the equipment for your home, or office or if you have any questions, please contact Ken at Ken@wildcatfitness.com or call his cell 603-661-2313.

Wildcat Fitness’ personal trainer, Mark Ferland, will continue to train clients 1-on-1 with cleanliness as a top priority. He can be reached at 603-948-9919 or mark@discoveryourstrength.com. Mark is currently in contact with the landlord, Colonial Durham Associates and plans to reopen the space when it is deemed safe to do so.

Pivotal Massage will also continue to operate in their present location.

We are thinking of you and hope you and your family stay safe and healthy as we work our way through COVID-19.

Warm Regards,

Ken and Susan Entz
